DESCRIPTION:Sen. Kayse Jama (He/Him) (D\, SD24) will be hosting a joint tow
 n hall with Representatives Hoa Nguyen (D\, HD48) and Andrea Valderrama (D
 \, HD 47) on Wednesday\, January 8\, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Midland L
 ibrary (805 SE 122nd Ave\, Portland\, OR 97233). They'd like you to come h
 ear more about their priorities for the upcoming legislative session and h
 ear any questions that might be on your mind.\n\nSen. Jama was an advocate
  for the passage of ballot measure 110 which reclassified personal/non-com
 mercial drug possession offenses.\nFYI - Here's a list of some new taxes b
 eing prepared for passage in 2025:\n\n 	Gas tax increase\, and not just a 
 little. Discussions range from 35 cents/gallon and up higher.\n 	New Deliv
 ery tax on all goods delivered to your home from companies like Amazon\, F
 edEx\, UPS\, DoorDash\, etc.\n 	New Wildfire tax on utility companies\, wh
 ich will then be passed on to you.\n 	Increase Healthcare Provider tax\, w
 hich will be passed on to you.\n 	Increase Beer &amp\; Wine taxes.\n 	Incr
 ease Timber &amp\; Harvest taxes.\n 	New Statewide Property Tax.\n 	Tollin
