Starting March 22nd, the “blackout period” begins, meaning Legislators running for office are prohibited from using state resources or official social media accounts for mass communications with their constituents 60 days prior to an election. They will be on a break from social media and from their weekly newsletter from March 22 to May 22, 2024. They are however, allowed to use their own resources to communicate with the public.
