This bill clarifies provisions relating to immunization records required for children attending schools and children’s facilities.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
Makes parents responsible to not send sick kids to school, and for administrator to send sick kids home, regardless of child’s medical records.

Fiscal Responsibility
This Bill makes sense fiscally, as the current provision keeps children out of school for 21 days regardless of them being healthy or not. Healthy kids can’t spread what they don’t have.

Local Control
Puts responsibility where it belongs, with the people, the parents, and brings Oregon back into accordance with the law and equal protection clause of the 14th amendment interpreted by SCOTUS in Brown vs Board of Education.
