This bill criminalizes misrepresentation of animals that are not trained as an assistance animal.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
Addresses the abuse of the true need for “service” animals by a penalty for mislabeling or stating the animals in question are trained for service. The handler is solely responsible for the false identification. This addresses “feel good when my animal (any type of animal) is with me” syndrome.

Limited Government
Government standards applied at public access locations where interaction with the general population is probable and locations that by signage that states “service animals only. Public safety is at issue.
