This bill establishes Task Force on Rural Medical Training Facilities. Directs task force to investigate issues related to alleviating shortage of skilled and experienced nurses and medical technicians in the city of Roseburg and in Douglas County

Personal Choice and Responsibility
This problem is a result of personal choice in as much as the medical personnel are working in the areas where their interests are and the dollars are. We have several state and federal programs to increase the incentives.

Fiscal Responsibility
This is fiscally irresponsible as there is a shortage throughout the state not just in Roseburg and Douglas County. Are we to establish a separate task force for each of our counties or cities with a shortage.

Limited Government
The state is approaching this to LIMITED. This is a state wide problem and should be approached on this basis.

Local Control
If we are looking at only one county it is that counties responsibility.

Free Markets
Additional incentives are the most effective method of insuring that the free market works for these communities until something better comes along.
