This bill provides General Fund money for additional ground water studies and evaluation conducted in cooperation with United States Geological Survey in priority basins determined by Water Resources Department.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
This study will not help to stabilize water supplies for households and agricultural industries.

Fiscal Responsibility
The state’s budget this year is dramatically limited with a number of serious issues to justify the amount of funds this study would take.

Limited Government
The WRB has done numerous studies over the years, while being ineffectual on and under the ground. They have enough studies for now except one – to know which aquifer the individual well is drawing from, which this study doesn't include. Remember that Water Resources Board just "Flunked" their Sec. of State Audit so they need to prove their effectiveness.

Local Control
Studies, investigates, and conducts ground water data gathering and analysis with the intent to develop a plan to resolve water shortage issues, which has been done in the past with no follow through.
