HB 3340A Provides for the Dissemination of Apprenticeship Programs

VOTE: YES – Governor Signed
This bill provides for the dissemination by the state and by local skills of information about available apprenticeship programs in their area.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
Would add greatly the educational opportunities for high school students who are looking to work in industry.

Limited Government
Any apprenticeship program limits the scope and expense of government. Historically, the world has educated many young people through apprenticeships. And those apprenticeships were not merely in the manual crafts. Abraham Lincoln and Calvin Coolidge did not go to law school but, after working at the law, they passed the bar.

Local Control
Increases local control because it brings local companies into the education mix.

Free Markets
Increases free markets because business will be part of the education programs and businesses will compete for apprentices. The best students will have choices they might not have otherwise.
