This bill amends Oregon Constitution providing for same-day voter registration.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
We are blessed with the privilege of voting, but we also must accept responsibility for that privilege. Elections don’t pop up out of the blue and surprise us. If we are a responsible voter, we study the ballot ahead of time, and we also need to know that we need to register to vote with proper identification.

Limited Government
Currently, you must register 21 days in advance. Clerks accept any form of verification including a self-written note if no required form of verification is available. Sloppy registration rules is an open door to fraud.

Comments

  1. Lynn Bryant DeSpain says:

Does not allow for a minimum amount of time to validate prospective voter’s information. Allows far too much room for error and fraud.

  2. David Klaus says:

Same day registration will swing wide the doors for increased voter fraud in our state and should NEVER be implemented!

  3. Lynn says:

All Oregon Citizens, the only rightful owners of the State, must ask themselves, “When the Hired Help begin to give exclusive orders to the Owners of the Home, that are to be followed and abided by, the just who owns the Property?” We, the Citizens are the Sovereign, the Rulers and we elect the Governments to be are Servants. Once we allow the Servants to become the Masters, the Citizens become the Slaves. By allowing “Immediate Voting Registration” certain Political Parties guarantee overwhelming Block Votes to remain in Power in the Position of “Masters!”
