This bill amends Oregon Constitution obligating the state to ensure every resident have access to cost-effective, clinically appropriate and affordable health care. Requires state to balance obligation to ensure health care with funding of public schools and other essential public services.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
Creates a fundamental right to ensure access to cost-effective, clinically appropriate and affordable health care. “Ensure access” is empty propaganda that empowers politicians and interest groups to force their agenda. Socialized medical care can’t sustain quality care at an affordable price. We don’t want to put our life in the hands of government.

Fiscal Responsibility
The requirement to balance obligations means more taxes will be needed to equal out obligations. Does “every resident” include undocumented aliens? The 2019 session already authorized a study for affordable health care under HB 2447. To know what this bill would authorize and fair transparency, that report should be finished first.

Limited Government
The state must balance health care against the public interest in funding public schools and other essential public services. What does this mean when the emergency clause is put on every bill that promotes a political interest. Does that make every service passed with an emergency clause an essential public service?

    ????????????????????
    Meaning ILLEGAL ALIENS ????

  3. Buck Norad says:

Tell that to the doctor that wants his money

  4. Diane Pohl says:

Look at England and Canada. This healthcare for all means healthcare for very few. I spoke with a Canadian who because of his age wasn’t eligible for an open heart surgery to save his life. They came to Calif. and they spent a small fortune for the surgery, but it saved his life and they were grateful. The program just doesn’t work For lots of people. It is not healthcare for all. It is healthcare for those who qualify.

  5. BJ says:

Healthcare for all is the same as Obamacare. It will lead to poorer care for everyone and cut a lot of people out of healthcare completely. As it is now, no one is turned away from receiving healthcare due to their lack of funds so why are these legislators hell-bent on changing the system?

  6. Loma Wharton says:

Each Individual in Oregon has the Right to Life, Liberty, and the Persuit of Happiness. If it makes you happy to have Health Care, but all means you have the Right to Persue Health Care, what you don’t have the Right to do is Force Me to pay for your Health Care.
This HR22 bill is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, VOTE NO.

  7. Matt Cyrus says:

Will it have the same restrictions as guns?

  8. Michael Gordon says:

Oregon already has crappy healthcare and a lack of good doctors. This will make it worse.

  9. Jennifer Brown says:

    Oh HELL NO – ??????????????
