Committee assigned to bill: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2021R1/Committees/SRULES/Overview

This bill will allow the opening of Mail-in ballots when received by the County Clerk removing the restriction that ballots can only be counted one week before the election.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
Without Poll watchers or ballot counters, this could lead to election fraud! No ballot-counting should take place with out poll watchers, Period!

Local Control
Opening mail-in ballots upon receiving them could potentially start as soon as three weeks before the election when there would be no poll watcher or ballot counters. Leaves the ballot counting up to the County Clerk.

  1. David Klaus says:

As the last election conclusively demonstrated, given the opportunity to cheat, the Democrats will and do but then, what else do you do when you can’t compete in the arena of ideas?

  2. Donna says:

Again, this is ripe for fraud. If you open the ballots in advance of elections, I suppose you’d know how many ballots you’d need to harvest to make up the difference in advance? This is what that tells me. NO!
