SB 320A Daylight saving time year round

This bill establishes Oregon on daylight saving time year round except for portions on Mountain Time Zone. Bases enactment on California and Washington electing the same.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
One of the benefits of Daylight Saving Time is that there’s more daylight in the evening, which is a benefit to several health issues.

Limited Government
The United States officially adopted Daylight Saving Time as part of the Uniform Time Act of 1966. All but two states adopted the times – Hawaii and Arizona followed retaining standard time. No state has daylight saving time year round. By going to daylight saving time all year it will allow the state to move forward with other states that are considering the moving such as Washington, Idaho, Nevada , and California. It would allow more daylight in the evenings in both winter and summer.
