This bill directs the Department of Justice to study ways to address the unlawful possession of firearms and report recommendations to legislature. There is plenty of statistic accumulated. How about tracking the thousand prisoners released and leave law-abiding gun owners out of it.

Unlawful possession assumes requiring firearms to be registered is constitutional. Nothing good can come of a study with a biased intent.
