This bill requires beverage distributors and importers to register with distributor cooperatives and requires cooperatives to report all beverage containers sold.

Is this amount of micromanagement necessary to comply with federal law? A distributor cooperative shall maintain a registry of all types of beverage containers sold in this state that describes the beverage containers by name of the beverage contained in the beverage container; type of beverage contained, size of the beverage container; glass, metal or plastic; and universal product code.
Free Markets
This level of micromanagement is costly and will raise the price of beverages to consumers.
