SB 1561A – Helps streamline the rebuilding process for homes destroyed or made uninhabitable by disasters like wildfires, floods etc especially in farm and forest lands.

SUBMIT TESTIMONY HERE before 2/26 at 3pm – WORK SESSION 2/26

PASSED SENATE – CONTACT HOUSE LEGISLATORS

Requires local governments to approve restoration or replacement of dwellings rendered uninhabitable under an alternative process that is not a land use decision. Faster recovery for disaster victims, protects rural housing stock, allows alternative administrative process to speed up approvals and limits rebuild to no more than 25% larger than originaL.

. Lots of folks from the Vida fire a few years back are still working through red tape to rebuild
