Establishes the right of a parent to choose a school choice option. Establishes the right of a parent to choose a school choice option. Provides funding for a school choice option. Refers the proposed amendment to the people for their approval or rejection at the next regular general election.

Brings education options to all students and teachers. Students will be able to choose to direct a portion of education dollars to homeschool, attend a private school or use nonpublic online programs–whichever learning environment best fits their needs. Teachers will have more opportunities to teach. The savings from students using private school choice will save taxpayers money!

The school choice wave is washing over the country. So far in 2025, Tennessee, Idaho, and Wyoming have created school choice programs. Texas is about to join the group.

It is time for Oregon students to have education choices just like the 1.2 million students in the 84 private school choice programs across America.

  1. Hello,
I am a parent of 3 kids who have mixed education of both homeschool and public school. I have noticed families leaving public schools who feel unsafe around certain teachers who push their viewpoints of politics onto students. One school for example, North Marion in Hubbard/Aurora area have several complaints against a coach who acts inappropriately around girls and is protected by the higher ups due to equity and inclusion. Students deserve to feel safe. A lot of trust has been lost with public schools. Homeschool and private education are rising. So, I ask you to help pass school choice for our kids. I am also getting involved with my local school board meetings to help make our schools safer.
    Thank you for your time.
