Be sure to thank him for your increased costs of living here in Oregon and the loss of businesses (a.k.a. job providers) Oregon continues to suffer, thanks to the unfriendly business climate the legislature continues to create in Oregon. Rep. Andersen is not pleased with several changes that had to be made in the session that just ended. He doesn’t like cuts to tenant eviction prevention services, reductions to early child care, and a continuation of our decades of underinvestment in K-12 education. In other words, he wants to make it as hard as possible to evict tenants in Oregon. Why does he think rents are so high here? Isn’t there enough free stuff for kids already? Underinvestment in K-12 education? Oregon funds K-12 education at one of the top amounts in the states, yet they keep lowering the bar to graduate. Let him know how much you appreciate what the Dems have done to Oregon this session, and DO tell him how you appreciate him attending/supporting the “No Kings” rally held on June 14th in Salem.
