Tell him we don’t want them messing with our state constitution; ask him about it – The proposed ballot measure for an environmental rights amendment to the state constitution. We want our rights back, we’ve gone without them long enough.
He’ll also blame the Trump administration for cutting funds to Oregon. Probably wont mention these funds wouldn’t be cut if the state was free from fraud, abuse, waste, and duplication, as well as to assess whether current grants are in the best interests of the United States, or are related to programs that respond to climate change.
Ask him how he expects us to afford to live here with all these tax and fee increases they’re passing…
- New Delivery tax on all goods delivered to your home from companies like Amazon, FedEx, UPS, DoorDash, etc.
- New Wildfire tax on utility companies, which will then be passed on to you.
- Increase Healthcare Provider tax, which will be passed on to you.
- Increase Beer & Wine taxes.
- Increase Timber & Harvest taxes.
- New $1.00/thousand Statewide Property Tax.
- Tolling on Highways.
- Meters on private water wells
- 50% gas tax increase
- 3% tire tax
- 60% increase in car sales tax
- $66 increase in registration fees
- $90 increase in car title fees
- 80% increase in payroll tax
