Make your voice heard on the issues that matter most to you. Sen. Meek voted to pass SB 762 (wildfire risk map), which is causing property values to plummet and insurance companies to drop coverage of those homes. Let him know this bill needs to be repealed. Sen.MarkMeek@oregonlegislature.gov
Did you know he voted in favor of SB 1098 which basically prohibits removing porno books from school libraries? They claim it’s a discrimination bill, but it’s not, it simply prevents porno books in school libraries, no matter who wrote it.
He’s also in support of HB 3365A which would include causes and effects of “climate change” instruction into the public-school curriculum.
Be sure to ask about these other bills and how he has been and/or plans to vote on them…
- Gas tax increase, and not just a little. Discussions range from 35 cents/gallon and up higher.
- New Delivery tax on all goods delivered to your home from companies like Amazon, FedEx, UPS, DoorDash, etc.
- New Wildfire tax on utility companies, which will then be passed on to you.
- Increase Healthcare Provider tax, which will be passed on to you.
- Increase Beer & Wine taxes.
- Increase Timber & Harvest taxes.
- New $1.00/thousand Statewide Property Tax.
- Tolling on Highways.
- Taxes on your water well usage.
- 4% taxes on tires.
- Food Stamps for Non-citizens.
