Sen. Prozanski (D, SD4) will be joined by Speaker Fahey (D, HD14); Sen. Manning (D, SD7); and Reps. Fragala (D, HD8), and Nathanson (D, HD8) for a Joint Town Hall on Saturday, Jan 24th, at 2 p.m. at Harris Hall (125 E 8th Ave, Eugene).
Sen. Prozanski is upset because the Trump Administration “authorized an unprovoked attack on Jan 2 against Venezuela without Congressional approval.” Strange that he doesn’t know the administration didn’t need approval for what they did, and the Venezuelans are celebrating the release from their dictator. The Monroe Doctrine, established by President James Monroe in 1823, made clear to the European powers that the Western Hemisphere was the domain of the United States. And that the U.S. would actively oppose any European interference in its region of the world.
