Some consistence is needed. What is the age of an adult? 18? 21? 16? They argue that kids are mentally mature to vote at 16. They have already determined they are adult enough to be responsible for adult sex at 15 and can change their sex and seek health care without parent consent at 15.  18 is the age for Selective Service registration, get a driver’s license,  pay Income tax, and Vote. Buy a firearm to learn ownership responsibilities is consistent at 18 with other responsibilities.
