This bill transfers the Building Codes Division from the Department of Consumer and Business Services to the new established Department of Building Codes.
Limited Government
Creates a new state agency to perform the duties and services that are currently provided by the Dept. of Consumer Services and Building Codes Division. Agency head would be an addition appointee by governor and confirmed by Senate.
Local Control
There would be no local control of this new state agency.
