Appropriates $1.25 million from General Funds for the Educator Advancement Council to provide professional learning opportunities related to ethnic studies standards adopted by Department of Education.

Personal Choice and Responsibility
Parent are being pushed out of the back of the bus with little or no say in their children’s education if they remain in public schools.

Fiscal Responsibility
It will appropriate the Educator Advancement Council with $1.25 million taxpayer dollars out of the General Fund to implement this training in school districts who implement the Ethnic studies early.

Limited Government
A ploy to get more CRT into classrooms in the name of ethnic studies. If it were actual objective ethnic studies, then that would be fine, but it allows CRT and CSE to be pervasive in our schools instead of the 3 R’s. Their website states, “funding will help develop and expand programs to better serve and support students of color, students with disabilities, emerging bilingual students, and students navigating poverty, houselessness, and foster care.” Ethnic Studies is the interdisciplinary and comparative study of ethnicity, Indigeneity, race, and racism.

Local Control
It incentivizes school districts to ignore parents and instead follow standards set by the State.
