Ways and Means recommends amendment.
The Act tells the DOJ to study a state gun dealer licensing program.
-5 Amendment recommended by Ways and Means – special licensing program for gun dealers.
This is a double jeopardy against one type of business owner. Gun shops already have to go through a stringent repeated process to have a FFL to be able to sell guns. They also have to go through the process of having a business license in this state. What would be the benefit of another licensing program except to target a particular business for winners and losers. It will cost taxpayer $3,694,355 to make gun dealers go through a state licensing process that isn’t needed.
Oregon use to be known as the most gun friendly state. We were the pioneer state.
