HB 4153 defines Agri-tourism activity as promoting a farm operation.
(i) Farm tours;
(ii) Educational exhibits or classes;
(iii) Crop mazes;
(iv) Play structures;
(v) Farm-to-table meals;
(vi) Animal petting and feeding exhibits;
(vii) Hay or tractor rides; or
(viii) Other seasonal or holiday events.
Requires that a farm must be able to support an Agri-tourism activity, by specifying the requirements of how much land and work force available.
A local government with land use jurisdiction over the site of a farm store may adopt siting standards for farm stores.
(A) Access, egress and parking;
(B) Traffic management;
(C) Noise management;
(D) Hours of event operation; or
(E) Sanitation and solid waste.
(b) A county may not apply siting standards in a manner that directly prohibits or unreasonably frustrates the siting and operation of a farm store under this section.
