Farrah Chaichi (D, HD35) who is also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) – will be holding a Constituent Coffee on Sat, June 13th at Tall Fir Coffee (14647 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton) from 11am – noon. Here’s your chance to meet with neighbors and have one on one time with your State Representative.
She’s looking forward to supporting legislation in the 2027 Long Session to help make universal healthcare a reality for working families. One of the mandates for the legislature will be to design publicly funded (meaning you pay for this through your taxes), statewide health plan options that guarantee coverage for all Oregon residents (Oregon Universal Health Plan Recommendations also includes residents regardless of immigration status). Why did she only say it’s a healthcare reality for working families? Oh, maybe she means they’re the only ones covering this healthcare bill with their Oregon income taxes.
She’s also hoping you will join her and her office staff at the Beaverton Pride Parade on June 28th. Hmmm, it’s also National Veterans Month, but there’s no mention of that in her newsletter… Copilet finds no public record or official announcement confirming that Representative Farrah Chaichi participated in a Memorial Day parade in Oregon in 2026. Could this be due to DSA’s stance which strongly supports spending cuts and footprint reductions to the U.S. military? Inquiring minds want to know.
