Sen. Mark Meek (D, SD20) will have a Town Hall on Wed, April 1st at the Happy Valley Public Library from 5 – 6 pm.
Be sure to thank him for voting NO on SB1599 which changes the tax referendum vote from November to May. It passed along party lines, but at least he was one of the few Democrats who voted the way his constituents wanted him to on that bill.
Do ask him to define “emergency” and why most bills proposed by the Democrats are declared as one. Did you know that when a bill is passed with the emergency clause, we citizens can’t sign petitions to vote it out?
