Sen. Courtney Neron Misslin (D, SD13) will have a “Community Conversation” at Symposium Coffee from 1 – 2:30 pm on Sat. May 30th.
Her newsletter says voters in her district did not approve public safety measures in Tigard or Clackamas, nor the education levies in Canby and Newberg-Dundee School Districts. Does this surprise her after all the tax increases the legislature put on us in the short session?
She writes “This means public safety will not receive increased investment, teachers will be laid off, and schools may close.”
They yanked away tax cuts the feds were going to give us, and now they cry they need more funding and want us to make up the difference. Why didn’t they think of this before disconnecting us from those credits?
Oregon ranks last in schooling in the country, and they are surprised when people say NO to more school taxes?
Check our calendar for other events where you can speak up to make a difference.
