Susan McLain (D, HD29), Hai Pham (D, HD36), and Rieke Smith (D, HD26) will be having a “Farmers’ Roundtable Discussion” at Midway Firehouse Pizza (14805 SW Hillsboro Hwy) on Tues, Aug 25, 6-7 pm. They want to hear from farmers in the Washington County region about “sustainable” farming, water conservation, and the challenges and opportunities the local farmers see ahead. Don’t they already KNOW water conservation is drying up the farmers’ crops? How is that supposed to be sustainable?
