Sen. Kathleen Taylor (D, SD21) will be having a town hall with State Reps. Rob Nosse (D, HD42) and Mark Gamba (D, HD41) on April 9th at 5:30 PM. RSVP at this link. The town hall will be at SMILE Station (8210 SE 13th Ave) in Sellwood.
The 2026 Legislative Session ended on Friday, March 6th. In just five weeks, they got a lot of things done…
Sen. Taylor voted to pass legislation to defend families from federal aggression (block ICE whenever you can), help workers and small businesses (unless the workers or businesses owners are white?), protect the environment (more cap and trade?), and balance the state’s budget to protect essential services (is this the ODOT tax increases they passed on us, threatening to cut off plowing roads unless they got the increases, that we’re going to vote against in May – Measure 120?).
She also voted to disconnect us from the Big Beautiful Bill, which would have benefited Oregonians WAY more than what they did. She voted for you, the taxpayer, to pay for renovating the Moda Center instead of having the new owner pay for it.
Not sure what Rep. Nosse has done in the Short Session, his newsletters only give links to news articles, then he talks about the events he’s attended and tours he’s gone on. You can bet he pretty much voted the same as Sen. Taylor.
Rep. Gamba also voted to require law enforcement agencies to require officers to wear uniforms with specified identifying information. and prohibit them from wearing facial coverings – except in “specified” circumstances. Why doesn’t they prohibit the rioters from wearing facial coverings???????
He also voted to require schools to confirm and provide notice when federal immigration authorities enter school property for enforcement purposes.
These people are supposed to represent we, the citizens of this state. Do you feel they represent you?
