Uses the General Fund for the amount of $50 million to provide $5 million to each County for the purpose of making the distributions to wildfire-prone counties and conducting forest thinning operations

Personal Choice and Responsibility
The quality of reforestation by ODF is concerning as problems exist that are not open for public discussion.

Fiscal Responsibility
The fact is, if thinning operations can’t pay for themselves, what is the point? Why would government officials be put in charge of making such determinations?

Local Control
Allow local governments to make the decisions on the Forest and use experienced local foresters and forestry businesses.

Free Markets
It is time to let experienced local foresters and forestry businesses determine needed projects.
